Football opener on Saturday

There's been a lot of talk on campus about the prospects for the 2008 Augsburg football team. After last year's dramatic 4-2 close to the season and a 5-5 overall finish, Augsburg has high hopes for this year. Ten starters return on defense and nine starters return on offense. The season-opener is this Saturday at 1 p.m. at Crown College, in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Crown is coming off its own history-making season, after finishing with the best record in school history in 2007 (5-4 overall). Nine starters return on offense and six starters return on defense.
