Volleyball tonight at Si Melby Hall, listen online

The Auggie volleyball team has its home-opening match tonight (Wednesday), as Crown College visits Si Melby Hall. Match time is 7 p.m.

Augsburg is coming off a strong performance at the Ripon (Wis.) Early Bird Invitational, and setter Shanna Reed earned MIAC Setter/Libero of the Week honors with a solid performance. She had 131 assists (8.73 per set), seven service aces, 21 digs and six blocks.

If you can't make it to tonight's match, you can listen online, through our arrangement with Stretch Internet. Tom Witschen is back to do the call for 10 Auggie volleyball matches this season. A Twin Cities radio veteran, Tom has had a great relationship as the radio/internet voice of Auggie sports for more than a decade. He also is the radio voice of University of Minnesota Golden Gopher baseball, and does webcasts of Golden Gopher volleyball as well. If you've never heard an audio broadcast of volleyball, you'll be in for a treat with Tom, who is widely acknowledged as one of the best in his field.
